Michigan football signed the best quarterback in the 2025 recruiting class, is a contender for the No. 1 overall recruit in 2026, and is also in the mix for the No. 1 quarterback, and No. 2 overall recruit in the 2027 recruiting class, Elijah Haven.
Haven is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He's also 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, and ranked No. 1 among quarterbacks according to the 247 Sports composite rankings and No. 2 overall.
LSU would seem to have an edge with Haven being so close to campus, but according to on3.com, Michigan football is an "early favorite."
Haven visited for the Michigan football game against Oregon in November, and according to EJ Holland, he will visit the Michigan Wolverines this spring.
Elijah Haven (@elijahhaven05), the nation's No. 1 ranked QB and No. 2 overall recruit in 2027, is 'locked in' for a Michigan visit this spring.

With Bryce Underwood in the fold, likely for the next three seasons, landing Haven would be the perfect transition. He would be a freshman in 2027, then could take over after a year of grooming behind Underwood to the starter.
That's in an ideal world for Michigan football, but it might not be as far-fetched as it seems, especially if this spring visit goes well.
