Michigan football fans have been obsessing with the recruitment of Bryce Underwood and for good reason.

The Wolverines haven't had a great season. At this point, Michigan football can salvage a bowl game, as well as playing spoiler. Beating Ohio State would make the 2024 season a success, but outside of that, it's been a disappointment.

However, Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore is doing what he can to make sure it doesn't happen again, which starts with upgrading the talent on the roster. Anyone who has watched the Michigan Wolverines this season knows the QB position needs to be upgraded.

That's why Michigan football is pushing so hard for Underwood, the No. 1 QB and No. 1 overall recruit in the 2025 class. He's also from nearby Belleville, Michigan.

On Thursday, Moore tweeted "Go Blue" along with the eyeball emoji which usually means a commitment. I speculated about it being Elijah Dotson, a four-star defensive back who is Underwood's teammate. Dotson is also ranked 118th overall according to 247 Sports in 2025.

All that could help Michigan football flip Underwood. However, Steve Wiltfong of On3.com wrote an article on Thursday and predicted that Underwood would remain with the Tigers using a medium confidence level.

Michigan football fans start "Keep Bryce home" tailgate

Michigan football fans want Underwood and Elijah Dotson to "stay home" with the Michigan Wolverines so badly that they have started the "Keep Bryce and Elijah home" tailgate where thousands of fans will be there at each remaining Belleville game in order to convince the players to sign with in-state school according to Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider.

We'll see if it works, but you have to give fans credit for trying.

Lastly, the Michigan Wolverines are guarding against a flip when it comes to four-star tight end Andrew Olesh, a top-100 tight end who has been committed since this summer but has been flirting with some other programs.

One of those programs is Oregon. Olesh visited there recently and on Thursday night, he was wearing an Oregon Ducks towel on his uniform which is a strange thing for a Michigan commit to do.
