After Michigan State players were suspended and charged with crimes after assaults on Michigan football players following the game in 2022, Spartans fans have wanted something similar to happen after a kerfuffle between the Wolverines and Spartans in the post-game.

Of course, it was started by the Spartans, who played dirty all night. Donovan Edwards was hit way late out of bounds and it wasn't the only dirty hit. An MSU player went after Colston Loveland on a kneeldown and things went crazy.

However, according to the Big Ten, there was no video evidence that warranted any punishment. Michigan State fans tried to act like there was some equivalency, but there wasn't. MSU players broke the law and were punished. The Michigan Wolverines didn't do anything wrong, or at least there is no evidence they did at this point, and the Big Ten acted accordingly.

Latest on Michigan Football recruiting targets

It was reported on Monday that Michigan football is offering Bryce Underwood "North of 5 (million)" according to a post on X from EJ Holland and The Wolverine.

Underwood, the No. 1 overall prospect and QB in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings has been committed to LSU since January. Michigan football was a factor in his recruitment but it's clear that the NIL game is another level.

We'll see where the leads but the Michigan Wolverines are serious about overhauling the quarterback room going into the 2025 season which is a positive regardless.

One negative for the Michigan football program is that four-star tight end commitment Andrew Olesh will visit Penn State this weekend.  He's also expected back at Oregon after visiting this past weekend. The Ducks were recently projected to flip a tight end from Washington. However, the Ducks don't have any players committed at the position, and it seems they are still pushing for Olesh.

Landing Underwood would probably help keep his commitment, but Michigan football will have to work until signing day to keep Olesh in the fold.
