Some programs are shying away from high school recruiting, but not Dusty May and the Michigan Wolverines, who landed another four-star commitment, Joseph Hartman on Wednesday, the second for Michigan in the 2026 class.

The 6-foot-5 guard out of Gainesville, Florida, is ranked 79th overall, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He's the 10th-ranked shooting guard and is the fourth pledge for Michigan basketball in 2026. Quinn Costello is a top-50 prospect. Hartman also joins three-star Malachi Brown and 7-foot-3 center Marcus Moller from Spain.

Dusty May's class is ranked third overall. Hartman is another quality piece. He shoots 44 percent from 3-point range. He's a solid defender and a guy who can handle the ball if needed, even though he's better suited to play on the wing.

Like most of May's guards, Hartman has some play-making ability. He can guard multiple spots, probably positions 1-3 and this is another solid get in one of college basketball's best recruiting classes.

A key injury update for Michigan football

After playing against Central Michigan, Hogan Hansen was a surprise on the injury report against Nebraska, as he wound up missing the game.

The 6-foot-5 tight end is one of the more talented pass catchers on the roster. Steve Casula, the tight ends coach and co-offensive coordinator, said he was "really hopeful" that Hansen would be able to play on Saturday.

Hansen would make an impact, especially with Bryce Underwood's ability to thread the needle. Hansen is one of the better contested-pass catchers on the field. His size also helps make him a mismatch, so if he ends up going, it will be great news for the Michigan Wolverines.

Michigan football projected to land son of Wolverines legend

The Wolverines have a loaded recruiting weekend on tap. One of the players visiting is 2027 recruit Charles Woodson Jr., the four-star son of Charles Woodson.

Woodson Jr. is 5-foot-11, 165 pounds. He is an excellent tackler, not surprisingly, and is ranked No. 370 overall, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Steve Wiltfong of Rivals has projected the Wolverines to land the commitment of Woodson Jr, who will be on campus this weekend, along with Charles Woodson for Big Noon Kickoff.
