One of the top targets left on the board for Michigan football in the 2026 recruiting class will come off the board on Wednesday.
Nick Abrams, the four-star linebacker ranked No. 249 overall, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings for the 2026 class, will announce his commitment among contenders Michigan, Georgia, Alabama, and Oregon.
It's been a wild recruitment over the past week or so. Coming out of official visits, Oregon felt like the leader. Michigan football gained momentum last week, but Georgia has received expert projections from Steve Wiltfong of Rivals/ON3, and others.
That doesn't mean Michigan isn't still battling. Syracuse pulled an upset late over the Wolverines. Maybe Michigan can do the same. Abrams will announce on Wednesday at 7 PM EST.
Joel Klatt remembers Aidan Hutchinson's legendary performance
Few performances in the history of Michigan football will ever rival what Aidan Hutchinson did for the Wolverines back in November 2021 against Ohio State.

The Wolverines were on an eight-game losing streak against the Buckeyes. But thanks to three sacks from Hutchinson, Michigan won 42-27. The Wolverines haven't lost since and Klatt, the Fox Sports color guy, said it was the fourth-best performance he's seen in games he called.
"Aidan Hutchinson gave the sideline belief, the stadium belief – in a lot of cases, the entire state belief – that Michigan could end the eight-game streak," Klatt wrote on X.
The win propelled the Wolverines to a Big Ten championship. Hutchinson also wound up as the runner-up in the 2021 Heisman Trophy race, before getting selected No. 2 overall in the 2022 NFL draft by the Lions.
