Yesterday, three-star linebacker Braylon Hodge announced that he received an offer from the Michigan Wolverines and head coach Sherrone Moore despite being committed to their in-state rivals, the Michigan State Spartans
Hodge had yet to officially shut down his recruitment and shared that he had a great conversation with the Michigan coaching staff before receiving the offer.
After that, he had great things to say about the program and shared a message that should give Wolverine fans hope that he might flip his commitment in their direction.
"I was speechless," Hodge said. "I honestly didn't know how to react. Overall, I was very shocked and excited."
Hodge also reportedly scheduled a trip to Ann Arbor, never visiting the program before receiving his offer. He took four official visits, including one with the Spartans, as well as taking OVs with the San Diego State Aztecs, Minnesota Golden Gophers, and Utah Utes.
The Colorado native has received 11 offers from Division I programs other than Michigan and Michigan State, but rapidly, things are looking good for Moore and his staff to land the linebacker's commitment.
