Mitch Voit has been a player to watch since he started playing at Michigan back in 2023. Since then, he’s demonstrated himself to be one of the most prolific all-around players not just in the Big Ten, but in all of college baseball.
The Wisconsin native has a career batting average of .303 and an OPS of .962. Voit also smacked 35 home runs in his career and totaled 138 RBI. In 2025, the 2nd baseman hit .346 and walked six more times than he struck out at the plate, with 40 walks and 34 strikeouts.
According to MLB Pipeline’s Top 200 Draft Prospects rankings, Voit is ranked 68th on the list, with his scouting grades all at average to above-average ranking. Since he’s played multiple positions throughout his time in college, that gives him more opportunities for playing time wherever he ends up, especially early on.

His above average arm strength and speed give him excellent range at Second Base, allowing him to make plays others might find daunting. His ability to excel at each area of play makes him a dangerous individual to play against, and he’ll constantly be a thorn in the side of pitchers, fielders and base runners alike.
Of course, it will take a few years for Mitch to develop into an MLB-caliber player, but not many teams would be able to pass up on a guy with the tools that he has. Hypothetically, if he was MLB-ready right now, teams like the Colorado Rockies, the Los Angeles Angels, and the Kansas City Royals could benefit from having better depth at many of the positions that Voit can contribute to.
Voit might be ranked 68th on the Top 200 Prospect list now, but if he can impress everyone at the MLB Draft Combine this year, there’s a chance he could go even higher.
