Michigan football could have one of the best offensive lines in the country this season. That's not just a fan concept either, Jake Guarnera, the projected starting center, said that he could see the Wolverines winning the Joe Moore award this season.
Guarera turned into a reliable starter last season at guard. He's taken over the center position now and he should be the starting center for the best of Bryce Underwood's career at Michigan.
Guarnera is one of two starters who have essentially locked down starting jobs. Andrew Sprague is the other at right tackle. That leaves three spots open, and based on some things we have seen at fall camp, we might know who is going to fill them.

Michigan football posted some phots on X. There have been some highlights posted, too, but Brice Marich of The Michigan Insider pointed out that Andrew Babalola was taking snaps at the left tackle spot, while Evan Link, who has started for two seasons at tackle, bumped inside to guard.

That doesn't mean that the starting five is going to include Babalola. However, Kyle Whittingham said last week at Big Ten Media Days that the former five-star recruit has first-round ability. He also said that he doesn't see Babalola moving inside to guard.
Link started the 2025 season at left tackle. Blake Frazier took over the job after Link's injury. He did an admirable job, and Michigan football could do a lot worse than Frazier as its starting left tackle.
Michigan is still searching for its best five. Jim Harding said that to the media earlier this week. It helps to know that Babalola is getting first-team reps. It seems like he will be the left tackle before the season is over. That could mean a move inside for Frazier.
The Wolverines have a slew of offensive tackles. That's a good problem to have. In order to get the best five up front, someone will have to bump inside to guard. Link has already done that. It feels like he can be an All-Big Ten guard.
Link actually settled in nicely at tackle last season. He might still be the starting left tackle, at least heading into the season, if he hadn't gotten hurt. It always felt like guard was his best position. That could be true of Frazier, who will also be competing against Brady Norton and Nathan Efobi to start inside.
The depth is legit and Guarnera's prediction has a chance to come true because of it.
