This sure has plenty of people talking.

It may just be April, but Michigan football fans are counting down the days for late August to get here. Soon enough, the Wolverines are going to take the field and the Big Ten powerhouse is going to look to prove plenty of their haters wrong.

With the new campaign still so far away, young pass-rusher Dominic Nichols already has people talking. Oh, and he's got plenty of Ohio State and Alabama fans pretty darn upset. While speaking to the media during spring ball, he didn't hesitate in throwing some shade at the Buckeyes and Crimson Tide, saying Michigan whooped both of them to close the season. He sure had some choice words for both schools, which the Michigan faithful sure are loving:

"I mean it's easy," Nichols said on carrying over the success from the end of last season to the spring. "We went from whopping Ohio State's ass - sorry, shouldn't have said that. We went from whooping Ohio State to whopping Alabama too. You just roll into spring ball with that."

Tell us how you really feel, Dominic. In the regular season finale, the Wolverines indeed were able to take down Ryan Day and Co., posting a 13-10 win. Ohio State was able to win the National Championship Game, but the Wolverines continue to hold bragging rights over them.

Then in the ReliaQuest Bowl, the Michigan defense was once again brilliant, powering UM to a 19-13 win over Kalen DeBoer and Alabama. After that loss, Bama fans were ripping DeBoer to pieces online. Hey, that's what happens when you take on Michigan and its unreal defense.

Looking ahead to next season, the pressure is on for Michigan to show major improvement from what we saw in 2024. In 2023, they were the national champs, but the hangover was tough to see last fall. However, Bryce Underwood has people believing that a bounce-back year is on the way, while Nichols and the Michigan D will hope to keep playing well. Nichols has no question provided Ohio State with bulletin board material for their next dance too.
