Kyle Whittingham hasn't had quite as successful a June recruiting-wise compared to his stellar month of May, where he brought in 12 commitments. However, it feels like the month is still very young, and the most excitement will come later when Victor Weekend takes place on June 19, with Michigan's largest number of official visitors coming to Ann Arbor.

Michigan did get some visitors this past weekend as well, including four-star defensive lineman Seth Tillman. While Michigan was after some other commitments as well, like Lincoln Mageo, Tillman was a big priority for the Wolverines, especially after his visit to Georgia.

While the Bulldogs seriously impressed Tillman during his visit last month, it seems Michigan gave Georgia a run for its money, especially with how Tillman spoke about his visit.

Michigan could have jsut taken the lead for 4-star defensive lineman Seth Tillman

Tillman recently spent the weekend in Ann Arbor, and being there with a smaller group of recruits probably allowed the coaching staff to give each prospect a little more attention. That tactic seemed to have worked out for Whittingham as Tillman made a very interesting remark about his recruitment after the weekend was over.

"Michigan moved the needle," Tillman said of his time in Ann Arbor.

Beating out Georgia head coach Kirby Smart won't be easy when it comes to landing the No. 15 defensive lineman in the 2027 recruiting class, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. Tillman spoke very highly of the Bulldogs after his visit to Athens, feeling very welcome adn knowing the plan Georgia had for him.

However, Michigan did something very right to move that needle. Now the biggest question is how much that needle moved? If Tillman is still leaning a good amount towards Georgia, or if Michigan is a true contender here? Georgia isn't the only other team in this race either, as his home-state schools, South Carolina and Clemson, are also after the Rock Hill native.

Tillman has set his commitment date for July 11, well after all of his official visits.

Former Mcihigan star Yaxel Lendeborg set to have a workout with the Golden State Warriors

Even though college football recruiting is taking the front seat when it comes to Michigan news, Wolverines fans are still keeping an eye on the NBA Draft. Michigan has three players hoping to see their pro dream come true. Yaxel Lendeborg, Aday Mara, and Morez Johnson Jr. are all hoping to hear their names called later this month in the NBA Draft.

While Lendeborg could hear his name called in the top 10, it is more likely he will go more mid-round, and some teams have their sights set on the recent National Champion. As reported by NBA Insider Brett Siegel, Lendeborg had a workout with the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors have the No. 11 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, and Lendeborg is a serious contender to be taken by the once-great dynasty. The Warriors certainly aren't the team they once were back in the mid-2010s when they won four titles in eight years. The Warriors need experienced players, even a rookie with lots of experience will help the Warriors with their front court, which relies heavily on star Steph Curry.

Lendeborg is not the only Michigan player the Warriors are interested in, as there are inklings that Golden State is also looking at Aday Mara, a teammate of Lendeborg.

The NBA Draft is set for June 23 and will air on ABC, ESPN, and on the ESPN app.
