Michigan football has added another commitment to the 2026 class, ahead of the late signing period, which will open on Wednesday.

Most of the 2026 class is already signed. All of Michigan's 2026 commitments who were committed during the early period have signed.

The February signing period isn't known for drama anymore. Michigan football did land one of the best players in the 2026 class, Salesi Moa, who transferred from Utah. The five-star WR/CB is one of the a few additions to the 2026 class. Some have been on special teams, but another came on Sunday as Ndi Etta, the younger brother of Enow Etta, announced his commitment to Michigan football, according to Ethan McDowell of the Wolverine.

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound linebacker was offered by the new coaching staff and took two visits to see the program, which included an official visit over the weekend. Michigan was the biggest name on the offer sheet, and it won out in the end.

Wolverines betting on upside with Ndi Etta

Army was the other contender. Toledo, Miami (Ohio) and UTEP also offered. Etta is expected to play linebacker/EDGE for the Wolverines. This past season, as a high school senior, he was credited with 67 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, and 10.5 sacks. He will have to grow into his body to become an EDGE. Enow Etta has gotten much bigger in his commitment, growing from an EDGE into a defensive tackle.

Clearly, Etta is someone who will take time to develop. There is upside there. His brother is expected to be a starter this season, and it never hurts to add another linebacker. You have to trust this coaching staff's ability to evaluate and develop.

That doesn't mean Michigan football will hit on Ndi Etta. But it's worth taking a chance.
