Michigan football has done a stellar job on the recruiting trail in the 2026 class. The Wolverines have 21 commitments, with 14 of them ranked as blue-chip commitments.

Michigan has also done well recruiting the quarterback position beyond Bryce Underwood. Michigan landed four-star Jadyn Davis in 2024, who hasn't really lived up to expectations.

Brady Smigiel is another four-star quarterback who is ranked No. 108 overall, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings in the 2026 class. The Wolverines have a solid quarterback room moving forward, but there is still work to do.

In the 2027 class, there are a few targets on the board. One of them is four-star Teddy Jarrard, who is 6-foot-3, 190 pounds. Jarrard released a top five on Friday that included Michigan football, along with Notre Dame, Georgia, Penn State, and Ohio State

Jarrard is ranked No. 195 overall in the 2027 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. Out of Kennesaw, Georgia, Jarrard is 6-foot-2, 190 pounds. Michigan offered back in May. Penn State just offered this week and made the top five, so it still seems like a fluid recruitment.

Notre Dame is the crystal ball leader right now. There is just one projection so far, so it's not a slam dunk for the Irish yet. Michigan is also in the mix with Elijah Haven, the top-ranked quarterback in the 2027 class.

Keegan Croucher is another four-star quarterback on the radar for the Wolverines. Malachi Zeigler is another. Jarrard has Michigan in his top group, and it will be interesting to see how hard Michigan pushes with him, and the others at quarterback.
