Michigan football has put together an elite recruiting class. But the cherry on top could be an elite wide reciever.

The Wolverines have some stellar wideouts in the class already in four-stars Travis Johnson and Zion Robinson. Yet, Michigan football nearly landed a five-star in Calvin Russell, who chose Syracuse.

There was some thought that Michigan could be interested in a flip there, but the Wolverines have focused on flipping another dynamic athlete in the 2026 class, Salesi Moa. Moa will visit for the Ohio State game this weekend, according to Steve Wiltfong of Rivals.

A key flip target for Michigan football

Moa is 6-foot-1, 190 pounds out of Ogden, Utah. He's ranked 45th overall, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings and is the No. 3 athlete in the entire class. Last season, as a junior, he had over 800 yards receiving. He also ran the 100-meter dash in 11 seconds flat.

His 247 Sports scouting report compares him to Jalen McMillan. He could play safety, too, but the Wolverines could really use him at wide receiver. Andrew Marsh has emerged as the No. 1 for Bryce Underwood, not only in 2025, but in the future, too.

However, you need 3-4 really good receivers to have an elite pass offense. Moa would add another to the pipeline. The Tennessee commitment will visit for the Ohio State game.

Surely, he wouldn't take the visit if he wasn't interested in Michigan. One visit might not be enough to flip the four-star recruit, but it's an exciting development regardless. It didn't seem like the Wolverines were still in the mix, so the fact that Moa is still considering Michigan is a good sign.
