In Michigan's dominant 24-7 win over the Washington Huskies, the Wolverines actually suffered a pretty big loss.
Veteran left tackle Evan Link, who became a full-time starter during his sophomore season at Michigan, went down with a lower body injury during a passing play.
Following the game, even head coach Sherrone Moore wasn't sure of Link's status or availability moving forward, saying, "Not really sure. Doesn't look too good. I know it was a lower-body thing, but we'll see how he does."
Will Evan Link play against Michigan State?
On Monday morning, the Wolverines provided an update on Link's current status, and what exactly the injury was.
Link suffered a knee injury against the Huskies and is now expected to miss at least a few games for the Wolverines, including their in-state rivalry matchup against the Michigan State Spartans.
However, despite just five games remaining, the Wolverines are still hopeful that their left tackle can return before the end of the regular season.

During his sophomore season, Link appeared in all 13 games of Michigan's season, and started in 11 of them. He was then named as an Academic All-Big Ten honoree and received his first varsity letter from the Wolverines. This season, he started in all seven of the games so far before getting hurt.
Link was on the 2024 National Championship roster, but did not appear in any games as a true freshman, opting to utilize his redshirt season.
On Saturday, Oct. 25, the No. 25 Michigan Wolverines and the (unranked) Michigan State Spartans are scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET and the game will be broadcast on NBC.
