Start playing young players

The talent on this roster after this season looks bleak. Guys haven't stepped up into expanded roles and the players that have shown talent are likely all going to be gone to the NFL after this season. The star players in Mason Graham, Kenneth Grant, Colston Loveland, and Will Johnson who gave Michigan fans hope coming into this year are almost certain to be gone as first-round NFL draft picks. The remaining bright spots in Kalel Mullings, Max Bredeson, Josaiah Stewart, and Donovan Edwards are going to be out of eligibility. Even Derrick Moore, Ernest Hausmann, and Jaishawn Barham are very likely to be gone.

This team needs to find guys to feel optimistic about heading into next season. They also need to allow young players to get experience and grow before they're thrown into the proverbial fire next year. Right now there aren't very many guys who are likely to come back that you feel good about building a team around next season. There's always the transfer portal, but with this season already gone it's time to give young players opportunities to learn and start building towards next year.
