Michigan football is starting to generate some positive buzz on the recruiting trail once again. On Thursday, the Wolverines added their third 2026 commitment from Texas three-star wideout Jaylen Pile.

Pile is a top-500 recruit and has 35 receptions for 804 yards and 12 touchdowns this season in just seven games. Michigan football is also looking to add to its 2025 recruiting class soon.

There is hope that Michigan can land five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola. However, the Wolverines have been active in trying to flip other committed recruits and that hasn't stopped.

Michigan football trying to flip a Big Ten commit

Indiana EDGE commitment Triston Abram recently took an official visit to Michigan football, according to EJ Holland of The Wolverine who reported that Abram will visit again.

The 6-foot-4, 225-pound EDGE out of St. Louis is ranked No. 646 overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. The Wolverines offered on September 17th.

Holland also reported that Michigan football will host Florida defensive line commitment Joseph Mbatchou for an official visit later in October.

The 6-foot-4, 275-pounder is ranked No. 425 overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He's not just visiting Michigan football though. He will take six more visits (via 247 Sports) leading up to signing day but the Wolverines are in the mix.

Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Michigan, USC, and Georgia will all host Mcbatchou for visits over the next two months.

Illinois will be without leading rusher against Michigan football

The No. 22 Illinois Fighting Illini will be without leading rusher Kaden Feagin on Saturday for its top-25 matchup against Michigan football, this is according to Joey Wagner, who covers Illinois for 247 Sports.

Feagin has over 300 yards rushing and has been the most productive runner for the Illini this season. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM EST with Michigan listed as a slight favorite.
