Recipe for Michigan football bye week: Steak nachos
For these nachos, Michigan football fans, you will need tortilla chips, skirt steak, tomato, red onion, jalapeno, Mexican cheese, sour cream, avocado, and cilantro.
Start by laying a bed of your favorite tortilla chips on a baking pan. After you have done that, you want to throw your skirt steak on the grill. Aim for 400 degrees on your grill and grill the steak on direct flame for about four minutes on each side. Once the steak is done, let it rest for about twenty minutes. While the steak is resting, dice up your red onion and tomatoes to make a Pico de gallo salsa. Once those are chopped into cubes, add cilantro, salt, and pepper on top.
Add a healthy amount of cheese to the chips and throw them in the oven. Once the cheese is melted, take them out of the oven. Cut the steak (going against the grain to make it more tender) and place the meat on top of the chips. Sprinkle another healthy layer of cheese on top of the steak and then add your salsa, jalapenos, avocado, and sour cream on top. Finish with more cilantro on top and you are ready to dig in! Queso is a popular addition as well but it makes the chips too soggy on the bottom in my opinion. Other meat options include pork, chicken or beef! A great beer to pair with nachos is Modelo, which is a crisp light lager with an ABV of 4.4%.
Week 12 best bet (No prop bet since no Michigan football game)
Utah +10.5 vs Colorado
I have not been high on Utah this year but I like them in this spot with the points. I think Colorado finds a way to win the game but I think Utah comes into this game with a point to prove after how their game ended last week vs BYU. They have the chance to play spoiler against a Colorado team that is in an unfamiliar place this late in the season. Put all of that together and I like Utah with the points.
