1. Davis Warren was applaudable in defeat

The cancer survivor had a constructive day against the No. 1 team in the nation. He hit two of his receivers for touchdowns and didn't turn the ball over for the second straight week. It was a career highlight for him in the loss.

Without much of a running game for the second week in a row to speak of, Warren made some throws that he was incapable of making earlier in the season. He's stabilized the position for however long 2024 lasts.

Defenses are starting to make Donovan Edwards and Kalel Mullings irrelevant. Alex Orji has been primarily used as a running back the last two weeks and has found his niche in the offense, even if it is predictable.

Without Edwards or Mullings to take some pressure off of Warren, Michigan's offense is too stagnant. Warren can't beat a defense like Oregon's, Indiana's or Ohio State with his arm. Kirk Campbell is expanding the playbook as much as he can, but he doesn't have the necessary resources needed to proceed.
