2. Dominic Zvada got his swagger back

The senior kicker who missed two field goals over the last two weeks was three-for-three on Saturday. He booted a 56-yarder that would have been successful from 60 or so. It was the 21-yard converted attempt that effectively closed the door on a Big Red comeback.

People were in an uproar over the two misses he had at Oklahoma and Central Michigan. Seeing that 56-yard bomb go through the uprights was exactly what he needed. That was the difference in the score at the end of the day. On the opposing side, Nebraska's kicker Kyle Cunanan's missed kick could have given the Cornhuskers a chance to tie or win the game outright in the waning seconds, depending on a few things.

It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone if Zvada doesn't miss a kick again this season. In 2023 at Arkansas State was his worst year statistically and he only shanked a handful of kicks. Zvada is back on pace to where everyone, including myself, propped him up to be.
