Teams that are destined for greatness find ways to win. Michigan football is far from great, but it wins with unenviable performances. Northwestern is not a bad five-loss team; they just couldn't capitalize on the countless times that Michigan served them the keys to victory on a silver platter. Here are three of the most outrageous overreactions from Michigan's haphazard win at Wrigley.

1. Northwestern clearly recovered the Semaj Morgan fumble

Watching the replay of this fumble and it seemed pretty noticeable that Morgan fell on the ball as soon as he lost it, but the official disagreed very quickly. She abruptly made the signal that Northwestern had landed on the football, even though Morgan was seen on top of the pigskin, and he came out of the pile with the ball in his hands. The play was reviewed, and it stood as called. This is an overreaction and an incorrect call that luckily didn't cost Michigan football the ballgame.

2. Michigan had no business carrying Dominic Zvada off the field

It's not often that Michigan gets a precious oppurtunity to play on hallowed grounds like Wrigley Field every Saturday. So, to not enjoy the moment and relish the game-winning kick is an overreaction. Zvada redeemed himself to his teammates, even if it was a cringeworthy moment to some. That is exactly the type of momentum that a struggling kicker like Zvada needed to get him back on track to being an All-American candidate.

3. The referees should have penalized Cam Brandt for a facemask on Northwestern's final series

When scrolling through twitter for more complaints about this missed foul, there were not many mentions about it to be found. During the broadcast Joel Klatt mentioned that Brandt looked to get away with a facemask, but it was a slight grab of the helmet, therefore there was no call. That makes this an overreaction that can be debated. Had the penalty been enforced, then Northwestern would have ran out the clock and Michigan's dreams would have died.
