Just a few days ago, five-star small forward Anthony Thompson included the Michigan Wolverines in his final seven schools. Now, he has official visits scheduled with six of those teams.
Michigan head coach Dusty May has put his entire soul into recruiting Thompson, a prospect out of Ohio from the class of 2026, and so far, it's paying off.
The young small forward announced his OVs with six schools, including the Michigan Wolverines, Ohio State Buckeyes, and four other powerhouse programs.
Anthony Thompson official visits schedule
- North Carolina: August 22
- Ohio State: August 29
- Michigan September 5
- Indiana: September 12
- Texas: September 19
- Kentucky: September 24
The only school that Thompson included on his final list but didn't schedule an official visit with was the Purdue Boilermakers, despite prospects being allowed an unlimited number of official visits these days (still only taking one per program).
Thompson is the No. 8 prospect in the class, the No. 2 small forward, and the top recruit out of Ohio, making him an extremely attractive talent for head coaches across the country.
So far, Thompson has received 32 offers from Division I programs, quickly narrowing his list to just seven teams that still garner his interest. Already, the small forward has crossed off blue-blood programs such as the Kansas Jayhawks and UCLA Bruins.
In just over four weeks, Thompson will hit Ann Arbor and May, along with the rest of his staff and roster, will have the chance to blow him out of the water with everything Michigan has to offer.
So far, May has landed just one commit from the class of 2026. Marcus Moller, a 7-foot-3 center from Spain, committed to the Wolverines at the beginning of July. Adding a five-star talent like Thompson could push Michigan's recruiting class into the top 25.
