Michigan basketball has put together an incredible turnaround this season under first-year head coach Dusty May.

Following the win over Purdue last week, the Wovlerines are 19-5 on the season. They are also 11-2 in the Big Ten conference and have sole possession of first place.

With six quadrant-1 wins, Michigan basketball also has a strong resume. There have been a couple of losses that shouldn't have happened, especially the one against Minnesota, although in the other four losses, Michigan held a halftime lead in each and were up by at least 11 points.

The selection committee has started putting out a preview bracket about a month ahead of selection Sunday. This preview includes the top-16-seeded teams right now. If the tournament field was being put together today.

Michigan was projected as a No. 4 seed according to the committee. The Wolverines are seeded as the No. 14 team in the tournament right now, meaning they aren't too far from moving up to a No. 3.
