3. Nik Stauskas was mild-mannered on the mic

The 2014 Big Ten player of the year was known for being a obnoxious trash talker for his playmaking on the court. He wasn't one to shy away from playing the villain role away from Crisler, much like Hunter Dickinson did too. On Monday though he was on the call for the second time this season for his alma mater and was tame.

Stauskas lacked the energy and emphasis that make announcers like Dick Vitale and Bill Raftery so popular and annoying. As a broadcasting student in college I tend to focus on things like this more closer than others. Stauskas is brand new to the booth, but just like his Michigan career, I'm sure he'll get better over time with more experience and moments.

The legendary John Beilein was in studio to further the Michigan perspective. He was gushing over Tre Donaldson. Donaldson has scored double-digits in all four games this season. In two years at Auburn, he never did that. His best effort was three games in a row last December. Donaldson is emerging rapidly, making the loss of Dug McDaniel less stressful.
