2. Nimari Burnett has improved in each game

The senior who stuck with the program through the coaching change has been rewarded through the first four games of 2024. He's hit more trifectas and had more points in every game. On Monday he notched a season-high and was a 3-pointer away from matching a career-high that he had in the St. John's win last year.

Burnett is also one of the few who hasn't turned the ball over consistently. He only had one on Monday and had a four to one assist to turnover ratio rate. Rubin Jones was slated to start in his spot, but if Burnett keep playing at this level, then he won't relinquish the role.

From a team standpoint, Michigan basketball outrebounded the RedHawks by about 20. They cleaned up on the glass by more than doubling up the RedHawks on the defensive side. Michigan also scored 38 points in the paint to go along with its 14 triples made. The 14 from behind the arc is a season-high this early in the schedule.
