2. Rutgers only made nine shots in the second stanza

The Scarlet Knights shot over 60% in the first 20 minutes, but only scored 25 points in half number two. They outscored both Nebraska and Michigan from Monday night's debacle. Tyson Acuff had a stretch where he couldn't miss from deep and the scored swelled out to 57-44 with about a minute on the first half clock.

In half number two, Rutgers went on a six-minute drought that let the Wolverines back in it. Dylan Harper made a layup in the lane to put the Scarlet Knights up 12 with 11 to go. Then Michigan went on a 12-0 run, and Rutgers didn't score for six minutes. The deficit was cut to a deuce right before Harper ended the scoreless period.

One of the nine conversions in the second was Acuff's 3-pointer at 13:45 mark. It was the lone trifecta that Rutgers connected on in the second. They made eight in the first half, with almost all coming in the last five minutes of the opening 20 minutes. They netted four in a row within two minutes of each other. For Michigan, Will Tschetter pitched in a pair of triples, and Tre Donaldson connected on the only other long-distance three.
