3. Dusty May reaffirms his commitment to Michigan basketball
You knew in the press conference afterwards that a reporter would ask about the upcoming Indiana job opening and they did. May answered by saying that he loved being at Michigan, but the season is still ongoing and Indiana will be prepared to offer a boatload of money if they want May to come home.
That's why Warde Manuel has got to give May an extension when the season is completed. Indiana gave their football coach a raise and Michigan can't afford to let another championship-caliber coach in the making walk. Manuel gave Jim Harbaugh an extension when most people scoffed at it and Harbaugh rewarded his alma mater with the sport's ultimate prize.

May has more than doubled the Big Ten wins from a year ago and has 10 more wins overall. In the middle of February, May will have Michigan basketball inside the top 20. He's in a prime position to earn a double-bye in the conference tournament too. Tuesday night against Purdue is the litmus test to see where the Wolverines stand in the hierarchy of college basketball. Plus we still have yet to see what he does against his rivals, but early indications are trending in his corner.
