In Michigan Wolverines baseball, few have shown the versatility to both pitch and hit as well as Senior Will Rogers. This week he has been recognized as one of the top two-way players in college baseball, receiving the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Week Award, an honor reserved for the nation's premier two-way players.

This isn’t the first time his two-way ability has turned heads. Throughout the 2024 season he showcased his remarkable dual-role performance, earning him a spot on the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award Watch List.

During that season, Rogers appeared in 55 games with 40 starts as a catcher, amassing 40 hits, including six doubles, one triple, and eight home runs, while crossing the plate 32 times. His offensive contributions were pivotal in many  of the team's victories, showing his significance in the Wolverines' lineup.

On the pitching front, Rogers was equally impactful. Over 16 appearances, including three starts, he logged 49.1 innings, recording 40 strikeouts and achieving a 2-4 record. His ability to seamlessly transition between roles provided Michigan baseball with flexibility, a testament to his athleticism.

His inclusion on the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award Watch List highlighted his status among the elite in collegiate baseball. Notably, Michigan was the only program with multiple representatives on the list.
