Will the Michigan Wolverines be able to keep the good vibes rolling? After winning their first national title in some 37 years, the Wolverines are a serious suitor to potentially land Flory Bidunga out of the transfer portal. Although the transfer portal just opened up, the former Kansas Jayhawks forward finds himself at the top of everyone's list. Not everyone can have him, but Michigan could land him...

Jeff Goodman of Field of 68 reported that Bidunga has at least four teams vying for his commitment.

Along with Michigan, the Duke Blue Devils, the St. John's Red Storm, and the Louisville Cardinals all have serious interest in landing the former Kansas forward. As a sophomore, the Democratic Republic of the Congo native averaged 13.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game playing for Bill Self. He emerged as a sure-fire starter last year for KU, averaging 31.5 minutes per contest.

With Budunga already connected to Michgian, what are the chances the Wolverines wil land him?

Michigan Wolverines can offer Flory Bidunga what Kansas never could

MIchigan is not only the reigning national champions in college basketball, but the Wolverines were able to climb the summit for the first time in well over a generation for this very reason. They were so incredibly dominant in the front court. The combination of Yaxel Lendeborg, Morez Johnson Jr., and Aday Mara down low proved too much for most teams to handle. Bidunga should fit in seamlessly.

The notion of Michigan landing Bidunga out of the transfer portal would be to effectively replace Mara. We all know that Lendeborg is turning pro, and Mara should do the same. Add in the fact that Kansas has been unable to get into the second week of the NCAA Tournament for nearly half a decade now, why would Bidunga want to waste his time playing for Self? May is where it is at, folks...

Ultimately, the three other candidates to land Bidunga out of the portal are all very much in play. Louisville being mentioned is something, but Duke is a national powerhouse, and St. John's is as good as it has ever been under the ageless Rick Pitino. In short, Bidunga should only leave a traditional power like Kansas if he was going to another. Michigan has crossed over that threshold.

Other teams could enter the fray for him, but Michigan has as good of chance as anyone to land him.
