One thing that's been exciting about Michigan football this season is having so many young players stand out.
Bryce Underwood gets most of the attention, but Andrew Marsh is also a true freshman. Michigan football also finished the game with three offensive linemen who are redshirt freshmen. Jordan Marshall is a redshirt freshman, too.
Even if Justice Haynes leaves after this season, Michigan should be just fine at running back with Marshall and five-star recruit Savion Hiter.
#Michigan five-star RB commit Savion Hiter had video game type numbers on Friday night as he rushed for 261 yards on only… 12 carries(!!) and had 6 touchdowns.

As if Michigan football fans needed more reason to be excited about the five-star running back committed to the Wolverines, he exploded for a huge performance last Friday night. The top-10 overall recruit according to Rivals, rushed for 261 yards on just 12 attempts. He also scored six touchdowns.
Hiter feels like a superstar. He's one of the best running back recruits, not just for Michigan, but in the entire country in the past few cycles. Hiter is the Bryce Underwood of the running back position.
Michigan football projected for a flip
The Wolverines are still working on adding to the 2026 class and hosted a surprise visitor via Brice March of The Michigan Insider over the weekend in three-star offensive tackle Tommy Fraumann.
Out of Wilmette, Illinois, Fraumann is listed at 6-foot-7, 255 pounds. He's ranked No. 1,248 overall, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. Michigan football hasn't offered yet, the Wolverines have been trending with expert projections to flip Fraumann, who is committed to Miami of Ohio.
That's not something most Michigan football fans will get excited about. However, he does have an offer from Oregon State. Some other programs might be showing interest, but the Wolverines haven't offered to this point. At least one hasn't been reported.
There is a crystal ball projection from Allen Trieu and multiple projections from Rivals' experts such as Steve Wiltfong and EJ Holland. So we'll see what happens, but it won't be shocking to see Michigan football add to its 2026 class soon.
