New Michigan football head coach Kyle Whittingham was watching the Citrus Bowl from the press box, but he joined the ABC crew during the broadcast.
Whittingham didn't say anything too notable. However, there was something revealing said about the coaching staff when he was asked.
Kyle Whittingham says he will have 90% of his staff wrapped up by this weekend on the broadcast.

Whittingham said that 90 percent of his coaching staff would be finalized this weekend, as all that needs to be done is for people to sign on the dotted line.
That sure sounds like a head coach who has his offensive and defensive coordinators in place. Jason Beck, who was the OC this season for Utah is expected to follow Whittingham to Michigan, which would be huge in terms of trying to retain Bryce Underwood and others like Andrew Marsh.
Jay Hill, the BYU defensive coordinator, has been rumored to be the defensive coordinator. Some BYU reporters and Utah reporters have said that both schools are fighting to keep those coaches, but what would you expect?
They are elite coaches. There doesn't seem to be any indication that they aren't coming, though. Utah offensive line coach Jim Harding is another name to know. He's a top-notch position coach and would be a huge asset.
There hasn't been any news about the staff nearly five days after Whittingham was hired, but it seems that was out of respect to both Michigan and Utah teams. That doesn't mean work hasn't been done in the background.
It feels like we will start to hear some official announcements soon after the Citrus Bowl ends.
