Ever since Sherrone Moore was fired this week as Michigan football head coach, Kalen DeBoer, is a name that has been constantly mentioned as a candidate.
The Alabama head coach was rumored to have interest before he left Washington for Alabama. There has been a ton of speculation that he would be interested.
Yet, less than a week before Alabama plays Oklahoma in the College Football Playoff, DeBoer put out a statement saying that he isn't interested in any other jobs and hasn't spoken to any other programs.

"I have not spoken and have no interest in speaking with anyone else about any other job. I am fully committed to this program and look forward to continuing as the head football coach at the University of Alabama."
DeBoer also had his "sole focus" was preparing for Oklahoma, the first-round playoff game for the Crimson Tide, who lost the SEC title game to Georgia last weekend.
DeBoer topped the wish list for Michigan football fans. It always seemed hard to believe that he would leave for Michigan, though.
Michigan is a great job, but it's not Alabama. So now the attention will shift to some other candidates. That certainly doesn't seem like a statement you make if you're going to leave for another job in a week.
Michigan football will have to shift focus to other candidates
The attention will turn to Kenny Dillingham and Jedd Fisch. Dillingham denied having any interest on Saturday, and there is talk of a contract extension with Arizona State. Fisch said that he "expected" to be at Washington at the LA Bowl press conference.
Eli Drinkwitz has been another candidate mentioned, but it's hard to see that happening. It feels like Dillingham, Fisch, and Jesse Minter are the most likely candidates, although Minter's leaving the NFL might be a tough sell.
