After quarterback Bryce Underwood announced his return to Michigan for another season with the Wolverines, fans were waiting on pins and needles to hear whether or not star running back Jordan Marshall would follow suit.

On Wednesday, Jan. 7, Marshall did just that, taking to social media to announce that he would run it back with the Wolverines for another year in Ann Arbor.

In a post on X, Marshall included a graphic reading "LFG 147," a part of Michigan football's latest campaign and a reference to the Wolverines' upcoming 147th season.

Along with the graphic, Marshall made sure to recognize those who have supported him throughout the last two years, including the University itself.

"So thankful I get the opportunity to play for this University. Thank you to the fans for all the love and support," Marshall wrote, including "Go Blue" and "Be You" hashtags before directly tagging the football program's social media accounts.

What could be a better message from your star running back than expressing his love and appreciation for the team he plays for?

Even while missing a little time with an injury, Marshall racked up 932 rushing yards for 10 touchdowns, as well as 92 receiving yards on just nine catches this season.

When junior running back Justice Haynes went down with an injury, Marshall truly stepped into the RB1 role and so far, hasn't looked back. With Marshall and Underwood in the backfield, the Michigan offense is shaping up for an even better season in 2026.

The Wolverines will be under new leadership this season, as head coach Kyle Whittingham, who just spent over two decades with the Utah Utes, steps into the role in Ann Arbor. So far, his premier recruiting tactics have been successful for Michigan, and the team's roster is undeniably talented.

This fall, the Wolverines will kick off their season with a home matchup against the Western Michigan Broncos, before hosting the Oklahoma Sooners and UTEP Miners ahead of Big Ten play.
