Fall camp buzz should always be taken with a grain of salt. There are always interesting and intriguing rumblings this time of year. Some things come true; some of them don't.
However, when you get information straight from the horse's mouth, from players or coaches, it tends to carry a little more weight, even though there is still a reason for skepticism.
Jordan Marshall, one of the expected stars for the Michigan football team this season at running back, interviewed with Sam Webb of the Michigan Insider, offering some of the fall camp buzz that Wolverine fans have been craving.

On Bryce Underwood, Marshall, the Cincinnati, Ohio, native, didn't hold back, saying that Underwood will be a "Heisman candidate" someday, which is music to the ears of Michigan football fans.
Underwood looks better throwing the ball. We haven't seen much from fall camp, but from the little we have seen, the footwork looks better. The ball also seems to have more arch and touch on it. Last season, Underwood threw it too flat.
Marshall isn't the first and won't be the last Michigan football player or coach to talk up Underwood. The kid has all the tools at 6-foot-4, 228 pounds. The arm talent is there. He just needed to refine things. Marshall's comments make you believe that it is happening, along with all the other evidence.
Some fans don't want to believe it. Rivals want to label Underwood a bust, but it's way too early to say anything definitive either way. Still, it feels like Underwood is trending in the right direction.
Marshall praises other players who could have breakout seasons
The Michigan running back room might be the best in college football. Savion Hiter is going to be a huge part of that. Marshall said that he reminds him of Hassan Haskins.
Hiter has power. He also has home-run speed and incredible balance. The five-star recruit might be one of the best running back recruits in a long time.
The starting running back for the Wolverines also dropped some insight on the defense, too, saying that defensive end Dominic Nichols is going to have a "monster season."
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound defender played in 12 games last season and finished with 19 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and one sack. He's often forgotten about on the defensive line, but could play his way into a starting role. At the very least, he could become a reliable part of the pass rush.
