Michigan basketball made a big move in the latest bracketology after beating Maryland in the Big Ten tournament, plus more.

Former Michigan basketball head coach John Beilein couldn't hide his excitement on social media on Saturday after an epic win for the Wolverines thanks to Trey Donaldson's game-winner.

In what's been a dream season, for the most part, especially after the past two seasons, the Big Ten tournament championship would be the cherry on top.

Even so, the win over Maryland was incredible, and it caused Beilein to fire off a few tweets. Here's what he wrote after Michigan basketball's win.

"I have to tweet on that one. What a beautiful play set up by Dusty and the coaching staff and executed by Tre! Fabulous! Let’s win it all now!?"

Beilein also re-posted a video of the game-winning layup to Titanic Music (via Swanky Wolverine), writing, "3 dribbles. Coast to Coast. So efficient!"

it's awesome to see Beilein, who played a role in bringing Dusty May to Michigan basketball, posting about the success of the Wolverines and he'll be cheering them on like all of us on Sunday.

Michigan basketball bracketology update

In the latest update posted by Joe Lunardi of ESPN, Michigan basketball has jumped from a six seed, where they were last weekend after the loss to MSU, back to a No. 4 seed.

Lunardi has Michigan basketball seeded 16th overall following the win over Maryland, which was the second in a row over a ranked opponent.

The Big Ten championship game is at 3:30 PM EST (CBS), so a win or loss probably won't change much. Wisconsin is seeded 10th right now, so a win might improve things, but I doubt Michigan can move up to the No. 3 seed.

According to Bracket Matrix, Michigan basketball is still seeded as a No. 5 seed. So, another win could ensure a top-16 seed, and who doesn't want to watch the Wolverines win their first Big Ten tournament title in seven years?
