The son of Michigan legend Charles Woodson is making his way through high school football and has received a nice recruiting grade, and the Wolverines shouldn't overlook him.

Everyone who says they are a Michigan football fan will know the name Charles Woodson in a heartbeat. Arguably one of the greatest players to ever wear a Michigan uniform, and was the original player to play both ways in college and do it successfully...yes, we are looking at you, Travis Hunter.

Woodson will forever be a household name at Michigan, and it looks like the star athlete has passed down some of that athleticism to his son. Donning the name of his father, Charles Woodson Jr., is currently a sophomore in high school, but has already begun receiving interest from college football programs.

With 247Sports releasing their Class of 2027 rankings this past week, Woodson Jr. found himself ranked as a 4-star recruit and the No. 23 safety in his class. Woodson Jr. is currently playing at Lake Nona High School in Orlando, Florida, and his father is helping coach his team.

Michigan could find a diamond in the rough by making an offer to Charles Woodson Jr.

Woodson Jr. is already receiving some attention and scholarship offers from college football teams. So far, he has early offers from Ole Miss, Syracuse, and Sacramento State, but it wouldn't be surprising if more schools began making calls.

Obviously, Woodson Jr. has seen the Michigan campus many times on trips with his father and has even attended quite a few football camps over the summer. While he won't be able to earn the offer just on his name alone, Woodson Jr. still has some time to develop into an even better player than what he is now.

Michigan currently doesn't have anyone in their 2027 recruitment class, but that doesn't mean they aren't looking or won't be making offers soon. With a dad like Charles Woodson, you can bet that Woodson Jr. is going to continue to work hard, and the offers may soon be piling in, and Michigan should be at the top of the list.
