Another Michigan football will represent the Wolverines in the Senior Bowl on Saturday as former starting wide receiver Donaven McCulley got a late invite.

This is according to a report from Pete Nakos of On3.com, who, citing the agent of McCulley, said the former Michigan wideout will join practice on Friday. He will also play in the game on Saturday.

McCulley is a former Indiana quarterback who has actually started a game at quarterback against Michigan. He later moved to wide receiver and had 644 yards in the 2023 season. After redshirting in 2024, the first season under Curt Cignetti, McCulley entered the transfer portal and landed with Michigan, where he played the X receiver position for one season.

In 13 games for Michigan this season, the fomer three-star recruit hauled in 39 passes 588 yards for an average of 15.1 yards per reception. That equated to an average of 45.2 yards per game. McCulley was one of the top targets of true freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood, who was often handcuffed by conservative gameplans that didn't help McCulley's production either.

McCulley's best game as a Wolverine came in the win over Wisconsin. He caught six passes for 112 yards and a touchdown. He also caught three passes for 91 yards against Oklahoma. He also had at least three receptions in nine of 13 games.

This will be a chance for the former Michigan football starter to improve his draft stock. Not being at all the practices, where one can get the attention of the scouts even more, just like Derrick Moore did earlier this week, is less than ideal, but McCulley will still get to play against top-notch competition for two days with the eyes of NFL talent evaluators on the field. That's a big chance for anyone who wants to get drafted.

McCulley is one of three Wolverines expected to play, joining Moore and Rayshaun Benny.
