It shouldn't surprise anyone to see that the name of Michigan football EDGE Derrick Moore is moving up draft boards, especially to those paying attention.

After a stellar-four year career with the Wolverines, where he was honestly under-appreciated for his contributions, especially during Michigan's championship run, Moore is taking part in the Senior Bowl this week.

One rep by Derrick Moore turned heads at the Senior Bowl

And he's already turning heads. It actually only took Moore one rep. Moore flat pancaked one of the offensive tackles during one-on-one drills, showing off his strength.

Maybe this will help Moore get some more traction. It sounds like he's having a very good week at the Senior Bowl, but he always felt like a solid day-two selection to me. Any team that needs a pass rusher, should be considering Moore.

The former top-100 recruit played in 53 games for the Wolverines, at least 12 each season, with 24.5 tackles for loss, 21 sacks, and 95 total tackles (62 solo). Moore had at least 16 solo tackles in each of his past three seasons, and for some reason, Michigan never really made him a full-time player.

To be fair, in 2025, basically no one on the Michigan defense played full-time because the coaching staff was committed to a substitution pattern that made zero sense. Moore essentially had 11 sacks this season, playing about half of the snaps.

It was beyond frustrating. He will be fresh for the NFL, though. Maybe he'll start getting some buzz as a late first-round pick. Moore always felt talented enough to go in that range, but a day two selection still seems more likely.

At 6-foot-3, 260, Moore doesn't have the typical size for an EDGE. His pass-rush ability is hard to ignore, though, and some NFL team will be very happy next season after drafting him.
