The Michigan football program is hoping to dip into the "Lone Star State" to try to land one of the best high school safeties in the class of 2026, Donovan Webb. There is obvious mutual interest between the Wolverines and the Frisco, Texas native, as Webb has released a list of his upcoming visits, and Michigan has been included.
According to an X post by Steve Wiltfong of On3 Sports, Webb has scheduled nine visits in the spring and early summer. That includes a trip to Ann Arbor on June 6.
Additionally, Webb will visit Texas Tech (April 11), TCU (April 17), Baylor (April 25), SMU (May 2), Kansas State (May 22), Ohio State (May 30), LSU (June 13), and Oklahoma (June 20). It appears that he is willing to be patient with his recruitment and take all the time he needs to make an informed decision.

247Sports.com's composite rankings show that Webb is a 4-star prospect. He's the No. 25 safety and No. 296 overall player in America in the class of 2026.
A talented, versatile player who dabbled as a running back last fall, racking up 172 yards and a touchdown on just 19 carries (9.1 yards per attempt), the 6-foot, 182-pounder's future is on the defensive side of the ball. That's where he amassed 120 tackles, five interceptions, two forced fumbles, and nine pass breakups as a junior. It was the second year in a row that saw Webb surpass 100 tackles after he had 114 as a sophomore.
Webb hasn't taken any visits (official or unofficial) yet. And despite the fact that he is being heavily recruited, he seems to be exercising some patience with the recruiting process.
However, it is shaping up to be a busy spring and summer for this coveted prospect. He certainly has plenty of options, and it appears that he's decided which ones he wants to explore further. Now, it will be up to the Wolverines to try to turn him into a Michigan man.
