The good news keeps on coming for Michigan football.
Ever since the official Michigan football account posted about some big news coming for Team 147, along with Tom Brady, things have gone extremely well.
It all started with some key offensive linemen announcing their return on Monday. Blake Fraizer and Andrew Babalola each posted on X that they were coming back. Bryce Underwood, the former five-star quarterback, did the same on Monday night.
By the time that Andrew Marsh agreed to a new deal Tuesday afternoon, according to Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider, Michigan football fans were on cloud nine. It was confirmed by the Detroit Free Press.
Michigan football gets more good news
Then, it got even better. Jake Guarnera, arguably Michigan's best offensive lineman last season, announced that he was coming back after entering the portal.
Outside of Underwood and Marsh, this is easily the most important retention for Michigan. Guarnera was stellar at guard this season, but he's expected to be the starting center next season. As a redshirt freshman, he could have that job for three more seasons, at least the next two with Underwood, at the very least.
So that's huge. The cherry on top is that Evan Link announced his return soon after Guarnera. That means Michigan could trot out a starting five next season (left to right) that features Frazier, Nathan Efobi, Guarnera, Evan Link (at guard), and Babalola, assuming he's healthy. You'd still have Brady Norton coming off the bench, along with Avery Gach and Ty Haywood, among others.
That's a pretty solid offensive line, especially in the capable hands of new offensive line coach Jim Harding.
