Midway through the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, Colston Loveland was drafted by the Chicago Bears at pick No. 10. This comes as no surprise to many of the mock drafters across the internet, as they had Loveland being picked near the middle of the round.

Adding a player like Loveland to the repertoire of passing targets for last year's first pick QB Caleb Williams will allow both players to flourish in the Windy City. Loveland's vertical style of play will create a lot of options for the Bears.
Loveland's route-running and ability to create mismatches have drawn comparisons to NFL star Travis Kelce. His versatility allows him to line up across various offensive formations, contributing both as a receiver and blocker.

Colston Loveland has made himself a lasting part of Michigan Wolverines history, becoming the program's single-season leader in receptions by a tight end with 56 catches in 2024. Standing at 6'5" and weighing 245 pounds, Loveland's combination of size, speed, and hands makes him a formidable offensive weapon.
Over his three-year career, Loveland appeared in 39 games at tight end with 24 starts, totaling 117 receptions for 1,466 yards and 11 touchdowns. His 2024 campaign included 582 receiving yards and five touchdowns, cementing his status as a top-tier tight end prospect.
The tight end’s skills led him to be named a second team All-American in 2024. He was also selected for the All-Big Ten team twice; to the first team in 2023, and the second team in 2024.
