Some Big Ten teams have struggled already in the NCAA tournament.

Michigan basketball needed a game-winning 3-point shot to beat Wisconsin in the Big Ten Tournament last week.

That was one day after the Wolverines needed some late heroics to beat Ohio State, too, rallying from four points down with about five minutes remaining.

It felt like both of those teams could make a run in the NCAA Tournament after playing so well against the Wolverines. Hell, Wisconsin beat Michigan back in January, in Ann Arbor.

The Badgers were a trendy pick to make a run in the NCAA Tournament, until High Point ended that dream for the Badgers in the first round of March Madness.

High Point continued the tradition of a No. 12 seed knocking off a No. 5. Wisconsin was up by a point, then allowed a breakaway layup to lose the game 83-82.

Just before the Badgers were knocked out of the tournament, Ohio State became the first higher-seeded team to lose an NCAA Tournament game this season, dropping a 66-64 decision to TCU, a team Michigan basketball beat on the road earlier this season.

It wasn't bad to see the Buckeyes knocked out of the NCAA Tournament. However, it's interesting, or maybe just a dose of reality that two teams Michigan just struggled to beat last weekend have already been knocked of the big dance.

Nebraska moved on to get the Big Ten a win. It was the first ever for the Huskers in the NCAA tournament, so Michigan has already beaten two teams that have advanced to the second round.

Next up is Howard, and after watching Duke, which is currently down at the half, Michigan better have a sense of urgency, especially after seeing two teams they played less than a week ago, get knocked out in the first game.
