Michigan football is still working to put a bow on its stellar 2026 recruiting class. One way it's looking to do that is by flipping a four-star offensive line commitment.
The Wolverines have been kicking the tires on a few recruits who are committed to other programs. One of the most notable, though, is four-star center Sean Stover.
Out of Prosper, Texas, Stover is listed at 6-foot-2.5, 275 pounds. He's ranked No. 311 overall in the 2026 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings
Stover is committed to Duke currently. However, he visited Michigan football for the win over Washington, which seemed to move the needle in his recruitment. Stover did say that he was still "fully committed" to the Blue Devils, even if his visit tells a different story.

Michigan football aiming to flip ACC commitment
“I am still fully committed to Duke and the Blue Devils. I need time to think through this decision," Stover told Rivals.
The offensive line, particularly offensive line recruiting, has been in a really strong spot. Michigan likes to have a true center on the roster. We have seen Jake Guarnera develop, and he can also play guard. Stover could do the same, although 247 Sports sings his praises as a center who should start at the Power-4 level in the future.
"True center prospect who combines on-field experience with promising position-relevant combine-testing athleticism. Plays for a high school that has become a veritable O-line factory at the Texas 6A level in the DFW Metroplex. Owns elite lateral athleticism in a combine setting, and that movement ability and short-area quickness show in pads. Frame-limited, but given center projection, not as much of an issue as it would be at other OL spots. Junior year reveals noticeably improved punching consistency compared to "catching" frequency as a sophomore. Travels on time as a puller and a climber. Shows some anchoring capability in pass protection. Plays hard and looks for more work. Projects to the high-major level as a potential multi-year starter with long-term pro upside as a center stalwart," According to 247 Sports' scouting report.
This would be the fourth offensive lineman in the class and the second four-star recruit along with Malakai Lee, who is ranked in the top 200. There's some elite offensive line talent coming to Ann Arbor, and it would be nice to add Stover to that mix.
