A good sign for Michigan football with TE commitment Andrew Olesh

Multiple programs have been pushing to flip four-star tight end Andrew Olesh but one contender is projected to land another tight end.

One of the top-ranked Michigan football commitments in the 2025 class, Andrew Olesh, has been pursued by some other programs lately such as Alabama, Oregon, and Penn State.

Olesh is from Pennsylvania, so Penn State making a push makes sense. He's expected to visit there. The four-star tight end also visited Oregon this past weekend and also took a trip to Alabama.

Alabama made a strong push for his commitment at the end, but Michigan football won out and it's easy to see why with their tight end development.

Colston Loveland is going to be a first-round pick. At the very least, he will go on day two. You also have others who have been drafted recently, plus Hogan Hansen and others on the current roster that look like they have NFL futures too.

Oregon was one of the teams that was keeping me up at night, but the Ducks are now projected to flip another tight end in the 2025 class, Vander Ploog. It's always possible that Oregon would still want Olesh because he is an elite talent but it could be a sign that the Ducks have moved on.

Ploog is ranked No. 242 overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He also visited Oregon this weekend. Alabama just took a second tight end in 2025. The Ducks don't have any, so that could leave the door open for them to land Olesh too.

EJ Holland of The Wolverine wrote that it was a good sign for the Wolverines and it seems like if Michigan can hold off Penn State, it can hold onto the commitment of Olesh, one of its prized recruits in the 2025 class.
