Offensive line depth chart

When talking about last season's struggles on offense, most people blame the quarterbacks, and rightfully so, but the offensive line didn't do them any favors.

Michigan didn't run the ball as well as it did during previous season, although not being able to complete a pass didn't help, but the pass protection, and the run blocking left a lot to be desired.

There was improvement down the stretch, particularly against Ohio State and Alabama. Michigan had 100-yard rushers in both games, without really having the threat of a pass offense.

Sherrone Moore indicated that Greg Crippen, Giovanni El-Hadi, and Andrew Sprague, have their positions essentially locked up. That leaves left tackle and right guard as the openings.

Evan Link was the right tackle last season. His pass blocking was atrocious. He played OK against Alabama at left tackle. Yet, five-star freshman Andrew Babalola could push for the job, along with Blake Frazier.

Nathan Efobi has the inside track to start at right guard. Link could bump to guard if he doesn't win the left tackle job. Lawrence Hattar, a D-2 transfer, is another option at that spot.
