Michigan football has been focused mostly on the transfer portal in terms of adding talent for the 2025 roster, but there are still some notable 2025 recruits who still haven't signed.

One of them is five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood. The Alabama commitment is 6-foot-5, 285 pounds from Denton, Texas. He's ranked 18th overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings and according to Chad Simmons of On3.com, he'll visit Michigan football this month.

The Wolverines have been trending in the right direction for Haywood since before Early Signing Day. Haywood decided not to sign with Alabama and the Crimson Tide aren't really involved anymore.

Florida State will also host Haywood for a visit, while Texas Tech and Mississippi State are also in the mix. However, Michigan football has an NIL warchest now and as the Wolveriners proved with Bryce Underwood, they aren't afraid to use it.

Andrew Babalola also signed as part of the 2025 class, so if Michigan was able to land Haywood, it would give the Wolverines two five-star offensive tackles to pair with their five-star quarterback.

The latest transfer portal rumblings

Things haven't been going well for Michigan football when it comes to attracting transfer portal wide receivers. Kaedin Robinson of App State was on the radar but he seems more focused on USC and UCLA.

A new name to monitor is former Louisiana Tech wideout Tru Edwards, who "might" visit the Wolverines according to EJ Holland of The Wolverine.com.

Edwards has 85 receptions for 989 yards and six tocuhdowns last season. The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder averaged 11.6 yards per reception. Michigan needs more playmakers and Edwards would fit that need perfectly. He's got one year of eligibility remaining.
