5 predictions for Michigan football against Ohio State
Jeremiah Smith will do something special
You need difference-makers in this game. Jeremiah Smith is one. That's why it hurts so much that Will Johnson isn't going to play.
If Johnson was out there, at least it feels like there is someone who can matchup with Smith one-on-one. Now, there really isn't a great option. You have Jyaire Hill, who is probably the best cover guy that's available but he didn't play in the first half last week.
Zeke Berry and Aamir Hall have also been getting reps at corner. That's not a great situation for Michigan and eventually, Jeremiah Smith will find a way to make some big plays against the Wolverines in the secondary. That's the one thing they really can't account for.
The other receivers are difficult matchups too. I'm not saying that they are't, but I just feel like Smith is the one Michigan won't be able to stop.
