Michigan football fans have been holding out hope that Will Johnson would be able to return for "The Game" against Ohio State but according to a new report, Johnson won't be on the field for the Wolverines on Saturday.

The star cornerback has only played in six games this season and has been dealing with an injury issue since the USC game. Johnson started the year on fire with two interceptions returned for a touchdown in the first four games of the season.

But, he wasn't able to finish the game against USC. He did return for Washinton and Illinois but was never the same. Sherrone Moore said earlier this season that Johnson would return at some point, but according to this new report on Friday from Matt Zenitz, Johnson will be miss the Ohio State game.

Johnson has probably played his final game for Michigan football. Unless he finds a way to play on Saturday. It's hard to see him playing in bowl game.

Johnson has been projected as an early first-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft. He's 6-foot-3, has incredible ball skills, and is a shutdown corner in the truest sense of the word.

In 32 career games for Michigan football, Johnson had nine interceptions and 10 pass breakups. During the national title run, Johnson intercepted passes against Ohio State in 2023 and also against Washington in the national championship game.

Both of those plays were critical to Michigan winning the national championship. Some fans have been critical of Johnson, but the dude is beyond criticism. I know he'd be out there if he could, and just rememeber, U-M wouldn't have won the national title without him.

Johnson is an all-time great at Michigan and that will never change.
