Michigan football will double Oklahoma's rushing output
Oklahoma cruised to a 35-3 win last week against Illinois State. However, there were some concering things for the Sooners, such as their inability run the ball or stop the run.
Illinois State averaged 4.5 yards per attempt against Oklahoma, without much of a threat with the pass. That shouldn't be the case with Underwood, especially if Oklahoma is devoting resources to stop the run.
Illinois State ran the ball 26 times for 114 yards. They had six fewer carries and 15 more yards than OU. Oklahoma is expected to get some players back on he offensive line, but we'll see how that matchup plays out. Yet, stopping Michigan's running game isn't easy.
Justice Hayes had two 50-yard runs last week. Michigan probably won't hit one of those but a couple of explosive runs would be huge. Jordan Marshall will be more productive, while the Sooners will struggle to run the ball against a defense that's much better than the one they faced last week, especially among the front seven.
Michigan might not run for 200 yards, but they will have twice as many yards as the Sooners when it's all said and done.
