How will the offensive line hold up?
Underwood's performance could be directly impacted by how the offensive line holds up this week. Jim Harbaugh said it best in the past when he said that every position group depends on the success of the offensive line to have success.
Underwood needs time to throw the ball. He had it for the most part on Saturday night, but Oklahoma and New Mexico are different. The Lobos did have some stellar pass rushers.
Oklahoma only had two sacks against Illinois State last week. The Sooners only allowed 34 passing yards but also surrendered 126 on the ground. Regardless of the stats, this will be a stern test for the offensive line, one that will tell us a lot about that group moving forward.
