Beyond 2027, the 2028 recruiting class is stockpiled to the brim with talent in the state of Michigan. Programs from everywhere will be descending upon multiple schools during their bye weeks to poach their talents this fall. Four of them stand out as being the cream of the crop and are already being accounted for.

4 2028 in-state recruits available for Michigan

Antijuan Wilkes Jr.-OT

After just releasing an early list of his top contenders, Michigan is in a leading position for arguably the No. 1 player in the state. By the time Wilkes Jr. graduates he may be in play to start as a true freshman. Mason Cole was the last lineman to start out of nowhere. There's no fooling around when it comes to saying that Wilkes Jr. will be the Bryce Underwood, Savion Hiter, or Dakota Guerrant of the 2028 class. He's got top NFL pick possibilities surrounding his future.

Jayden Bell-Edge

Freaky athlete is the right way to describe Bell. In April he posted a video of him giving back to the community, so you know he was raised properly. Even Aaron Donald noticed how much upside Bell has on both sides of the football in a film study. His ceiling is literally limitless with such a flashy tape out there for everyone to see.

Deandre Bidden-WR

Once Michigan football eventually misses out on Dakota Guerrant, it can turn to Bidden. At the moment, he is more of a realistic get than Guerrant is if you believe the recruiting sites. Having him Andrew Marsh, Quentin Burrell, and Salesi Moa in four straight classes would be a stroke of good fortune for the wide receiver position that Michigan is not used to experiencing. The Wolverines will just need a guy who can get them the ball, and that's where the next prospect comes in.

Donald Tabron-QB

Setting the table for 2028, Michigan football doesn't have a quarterback yet, but is monitoring the status of a handful of passers. Keeping Kamden Lopati could mean that they won't take a known national commodity in the class, but they don't have to travel far if they want Tabron in it. Underwood could be gone by then, making it more logical for Tabron to be in the two-deep as soon as he arrives.
